Video Views for School Gardens

Recently-married, past-Apprentices Alexis Schoppe and Ramsey Cronk (both '06) work for the s'Cool Gardens Program, a Santa Barbara, CA based non-profit that installs and maintains 16 elementary school gardens per year in Santa Barbara County. They also support educators in using these gardens to enhance the learning experience of students through the integration of the garden into their curriculum.

The Gardens Program is a subsidiary of the s'Cool Food Initiative, which works to empower school districts in Santa Barbara County to implement and sustain nourishing cook-from-scratch food programs.

They are excited to announce that the s'Cool Food Initiative has teamed up with Jack Johnson on his 2010 To The Sea Tour and All At Once, a social action network connecting nonprofits with people who want to become active in their local and world communities.

As part of this partnership the Johnson Ohana Charitable Foundation (Jack Johnson's charity) is matching every dollar contributed to the s'Cool Food Initiative, up to $2,500, between now and October 15th. Every dollar raised will go to support the s'Cool Gardens program. Click here to donate directly, or simply view the video below on the Charity's website. Every time the video is viewed in its entirety, $1 will be donated to s'Cool Gardens by the Johnson Ohana Charitable Foundation. Click here to view the video, and please help spread the word.
